#imagine harry was stopped on the street by student louis tomlinson #louis has to do a video report on something interesting #and he chose this random kid on the street who looked really unique #so they get to talking and louis asks him to talk about the thing he loves most #and harry goes silent for a while #stares at the beautiful lights behind him and he says #‘i love this city the most because i can get lost and no one will really wonder where i am’ #and that kind of shocks louis; how genuine and honest he sounds #so he nods along while harry strings together more words more reasons why he loves the city #and louis just stares and holds his camera up and pays attention to the way harrys hair flies around but it still looks good #he’s entranced completely until harry stops talking and says hes got to head home now #louis nods and says thank you for the help and harry turns around and walks down the street with his shoulders up #and he looks like just another person really but louis is so glad he stopped him #so louis goes home and replays the tape until he cant keep his eyes open and thats it—hes got to find harry again.

Harry stepped onto the sidewalk, driving his hands deep into his pockets as the cool air swayed his curls in his face. “Excuse me?” Harry turns to see a boy with a camera, dressed in stripes - he laughed a small bit at his clothes, he looked somewhat like a sailor. “Hi?” Harry pushed out, his eyes scanning him momentarily. “I was wondering if I could use you for my video report - see I was finished but it all got-” he was cut off by Harry “Yeah, sure.” he spoke “It’s no problem. “Well, in that case… I’m Louis.” he smiled, extending his hand; tilting his head. “Harry.” he laughed light at how quirky he seemed to be. “Harry, tell me what you like about the city.” Louis pushed out as he started his camera, watching the boys face through the screen.”I love this city, the most.” Harry paused for a moment, brushing his curls from his eyes “Because, I can get lost and no one will really wonder where I am.” Louis was struck with surprise Harry sounded so genuine -truthful. Almost so much that it hurt. He listens as Harry strings words together to explain his love for this city, almost becoming in a trance. “Did you get that?” Harry said lightly with an awkward laugh “Yeah, I did.” Louis smiled to him “Well, I’ve got to get home now…” Harry smiled, waving Louis off as he waled away. “Thank you!” Louis called out, Harry lightly waving “Don’t mention it.” he turned the corner and with that he was gone. Harry really just looked like another person on the street, though Louis saw him as the boy who loved the city. Quickly, Louis walked home to edit his video - he couldn’t help but leave the whole shot of Harry in, he couldn’t bring himself to cut Harry away. With that, he had a hit of realization - he needed to find Harry again.

- CHAPTER ONE -
~ Niall ~
“Who has the X-Factor? Tune in next-“
“Ever since I started using ProActive, my whole-“
“And now we’re back on Wheel of-“
I groan and flick off the telly.
“Nothing good?” Maddy asks, coming into the living room with a bowl of oatmeal and sitting on my lap.
“Yeah,” I mumble, squirming underneath her.
“Rots your brain anyhow. Have your breakfast,” she says, handing the bowl to me.
I scrunch up my nose and push it away.
“It’s good for you,” she scolds, sticking it under my nose again.
“Maddy,” I grumble, pushing her off of me and sitting the bowl on the coffee table.
She raises an eyebrow and crosses her arms.
“Look, I know you’ve been wanting to move in and all but I don’t-“
“I’m here every night, I keep my toothbrush here, I’m practically moved in! All you have to do is give me a key and some closet space,” she whines frustratedly.
“I know, I know! I just… the thing is… I don’t want your stuff here and I don’t want you here anymore either,” I say sternly.
She stands up and looks at me in horror.
“Are you breaking up with me!?” she yells.
I nod my head slowly.
“Maddy, this summer was great, and all those nights… well, they were great, but… my junior year starts tomorrow,” I explain.
“Oh, I see how it is. Just needed a summer fling to keep you pleased, but now that school rolls around you’ll have all the freshmen to play with, yeah?” she growls, narrowing her eyes.
“No, no… that’s not it at all,” I lie.
Of course that’s what it is.
I’m Niall Horan. And everybody knows Niall Horan doesn’t stay with just one girl.
In fact, Maddy is the longest ‘relationship’ I’ve ever had, and that was only for half of the summer. If I didn’t feel like going out, she would always be waiting by the phone for me to call and invite her over.
Eventually, she just became an every night booty call, and when she asked if we were dating my shrug was accepted as a yes.
She was just so… easy.
All of them are, I mean, look at me.
“You’re such a prick! I gave you everything! I was here every damn night, Niall Horan!” she screams.
“Hey, that’s your doing. You could’ve always said no,” I shrug.
“Fine, I hope you catch a disease, you filthy bastard!”
She stomps down the hall and grabs her keys, slamming the door behind her.
I sigh and run a hand through my messy hair before getting up and dumping the sloppy oatmeal down the drain.
After a proper breakfast of waffles and bacon, I brush my teeth, tossing her toothbrush in the trash before I head into my room and remove my shirt.
Plopping onto the bed, I send a quick text to my mate Harry and ask if he wants to go out for a drink tonight.
~ Tessa ~
“Yeah, Mum, I’ve got everything,” I mumble, handing her my suitcase.
As she drags it down the hall, I go back into my room to grab my backpack. A knock at the door makes me jump, and I turn to see my older sister, Annabeth.
“Just a little going away present,” she says sweetly, handing me a neatly wrapped box.
“Thanks,” I reply, tucking it into my bag and hauling it out to the car with my other things.
My mum hugs me tightly after I close the trunk of my car.
“My baby, off to college…” she says, tears dripping off of her eyelashes.
“I’m only… erm.. five hours away…” I say, giving her a weak smile.
“You’re going across a sea! To a different country! I’ll never see you,” she sobs.
Annabeth steps in and drags her away from me.
“Be good, sweetums,” my dad says, hugging me tightly.
“I will,” I say, smiling.
“And none of those unruly fraternity boys,” he says sternly.
I laugh and hug him again.
“Don’t worry, Dad.”
“I mean it. I know how they are, I used to be one of them. They’re persistant, and they’ll say anything just to spend the night with you, only to leave before you wake up,” he grumbles.
“I’ll stay away, Daddy,” I promise, kissing him on the cheek.
He goes to comfort my mother and Annabeth hugs me next.
“But in case you do run into one of those frats,” she whispers, “your present will always come in handy.”
I raise an eyebrow and wonder what on earth she got me. Pepper spray? I decide to open it once I’m alone, and let go of our hug.
“Love you guys,” I say, smiling and tearing up a bit.
“Love you, Tessybug!” Mum calls, wiping her eyes. “You’ve got money for the ferry?”
“I’ve got it,” I answer.
“Mum, I’ve got everything.”
“Okay. Love you,” she says, smiling sadly.
I sniffle and get inside of my car, starting my long trip to Dublin.
I trudge up the stairs with one of my boxes and stop in front of the first door.
I sigh and continue down the hallway until I’m in front of Room 124.
It’s cracked open a bit, so I push through it and see a dark-haired girl standing on a bed and hanging up pictures on the wall. I drop my box onto the other bed and she turns around.
“Oh, I didn’t see you. Hey,” she says, smiling at me. “I’m Jessica.”
“Tess,” I reply, returning the smile.
“Where you from?” she asks, returning to hanging her photos up.
“Liverpool, you?” I say.
“Bradford. Isn’t that like an hour away from you?”
“Yeah, maybe we took the same ferry?” I reply.
“No, I’ve been here since late last night,” she says.
“Oh. Why’s that?” I question.
“My brother is in a fraternity, and he had to come early since it’s his last year. Getting things ready I guess,” she shrugs.
“Oh. That’s neat,” I mumble.
I open up the one box sitting on my bed and look through it.
“Is that all you brought?” she asks, looking at me in horror.
I chuckle, “The rest is in my car.”
“Oh. Well, let’s go get it,” she says, hopping off her bed and walking out with me.
It’s about five by the time I’ve unpacked all of my things, and we had Chinese food delivered a couple minutes ago.
“So, your brother. What’s his name?” I ask.
“Zayn,” she says, chewing on her lo mein. “You should meet him, he’d like you. Especially your sense of style.”
I look down at my shorts and old band tee.
“Oh. So he’s into the whole ‘five hour trip, throw on your moving clothes’ type, eh?” I joke.
“Definitely. But I saw some of your other clothes, you’re pretty chill, huh?” she questions.
“Pretty much,” I shrug.
“Well, that’s what he’s into,” she explains. “He’s really laid back, except for when he gets mad. Like, really, really mad.”
I nod my head, “He sounds cool.”
“I’m glad you think so. Maybe we’ll visit him later? You can get to know each other,” she says happily.
“Yeah… but, only as friends, I’m not really… into that,” I say, trying to find the right words.
“Into… what? Boys?” she asks.
“Are you gay?”
“No!” I answer immediately. “I mean, there’s nothing wrong with being gay, I didn’t mean it like that, but.. no.. I’m not..” I mutter awkwardly.
“Woah, calm down. It was just a question,” she giggles.
“Yeah.. well, I meant that I’m not really.. into dating. I like guys, I do.. just not.. I don’t want a boyfriend,” I finally manage to say. “I want to focus on my degree. And especially a lad from a fraternity.. that’s just trouble.”
“I understand. It’s fine, I think he might be back with Perrie,” she shrugs. “They’re on and off a lot.”
I wonder why.
“So do you have any siblings?” she asks.
“An older sister, Annabeth,” I say, pointing to a picture I hung on my wall.
Suddenly a lightbulb goes off in my head, and I jump up.
“Woah, what the.. are you okay?” Jessica asks, raising an eyebrow as I rummage through my backpack.
“Yeah, I just remembered my present,” I say, pulling it out and returning to my bed.
“Present?” she questions.
“Annabeth gave it to me before I left… said it would help with fraternity boys?” I mutter, chuckling and ripping it open.
The first thing that falls out is a Victoria’s Secret gift card - which, by the way, I would love if it were for a different occasion - and I can’t help but roll my eyes.
I bend over to pick it up off the ground and sit it on my bedside table before returning to the package that was still halfwrapped around a box shaped thing.
I tear the rest of the paper off and stare at it mortifyingly.
“Condoms!” Jessica blurts. Laughter erupts from her throat and she begins rolling around on her bed. “A… twelve… pack… of… condoms…” she sputters between breaths.
I quickly shove the box back into my backpack and throw it in the corner.
“Your sister is great,” she says.
“Yeah.. so which one’s Zayn?” I ask, eager to change topics.
She grabs a frame from her bedside table and hands it to me, pointing to a dark skinned bloke that was obviously wasted.
He was hanging all over a wide-smiling Jess and some blonde guy, while a curly-haired lad was vomiting in the background.
“He’s cute,” I say, observing the picture. “Who are they?”
She places the frame back on her nightstand.
“The blonde is Niall, and the one puking is Harry. Zayn used to bring them home a lot over breaks, so…” she mumbles.
“Do your parents just let them get pissed?” I ask.
“No way,” she says quickly. “They were out that night.”
A knock at the door startles us and I get up to answer it.
Instead of a person at the door, I find a slip of paper. I pick it up and bring it inside.
“What’s that?” Jess asks.
“Uhm… I think it’s for you,” I answer, handing it over immediately.
She takes it and a smile grows on her face as she reads it.
“It’s from Zayn,” she explains. “Well, his fraternity. They’ve invited me to the welcoming party tomorrow night.”
“Oh, that’s awesome,” I say, feeling happy for her. “You should go.”
“If you come with me,” she says.
“Oh, no… it was you that got invited,” I object politely.
“Zayn won’t mind if I bring a plus one. Besides, there will be tons of people there. Nobody will care,” she promises.
“I don’t know… I don’t really drink, and we’ll have homework tomorrow. It’s the first day, there’s always homework,” I say.
“But it’ll be Friday. You’ll haveallweekend to do it,” she argues.
“Yeah, whose genuis idea was it to have the first day on a Friday anyway?” I mumble.
“So you’ll come?” she asks with a wide smile.
“I guess,” I sigh.
“This will be epic,” she squeals.
A/N: This is the first chapter, so… no smut. But, considering this is a Frat Boy Niall fanfic, I promise there will be. And it will be full of feels. Do you like so far? I hope so (:
by the way, I’m American, so… I apologize to those of you who live in the UK and Ireland if I say something wrong. Also, I’m not familiar with how the school system works over there, so if you’re confused, a Junior is in their third year of university and that is the year before their last year here in America. Tessa and Jessica are first years, or “Freshman.”
Thank you for understanding <3
